Dear Parents,

The European Bilingual Primary School was established in 2003 for all parents who want their children to grow up in the spirit of tolerance and openness to the surrounding world, and for those who value the comprehensive development of their child from their earliest years.

The European Bilingual Primary School provides extended English teaching. Intensive and regular contact with the foreign language through play and lessons will allow the child to freely communicate in spoken English within 4 years of teaching. The time dedicated to learning English will vary depending on the age and developmental stage of the child.

We particularly focus on practical language skills. Contact with English is provided throughout the most of the day. During meals, play in the garden, and also during the educational activities. This provides the opportunity for faster and more durable linguistic development.

With regards to early primary school education at the nursery school, the European Bilingual Primary School follows the program outlined by the Ministry of National Education, with consideration of the copyrights. Therefore, the children not only gain the basic scope of knowledge necessary for the initial years of school education, but also develop their individual skills.

The program objectives and aims are executed with great care by a well prepared, creative, and reliable team of teachers. Looking after children is their primary vocation, which allows them to cater for the individual needs of every child.

The European Bilingual Primary School is open for 12 months a year, Monday to Friday 8:00 - 18:30. The holidays are the same as those in the calendar. In general, our entry age is 3-years old; however, in certain cases 2.5-year old children may also be accepted. The European Bilingual Primary School also runs a zero grade, preparing the children for grade one of the Primary Schools, both Polish and English taught in this class.

We warmly welcome you to our school!

THE BUILDING AND THE GARDEN, SAFETY

The Private European Bilingual Primary School is situated in an area of detached houses in a leafy district of Warsaw, far away from everyday city traffic but close to main streets leading to the city centre. In the European Bilingual Primary School, children have a chance to rest and play in the fresh air, surrounded by an atmosphere of peace and quiet. The garden is divided into two parts: for younger (2,5 and 3 years old) and older children. Garden toys are adapted for children of different ages and possess all needed certificates of quality. Spacious rooms in child-friendly colours give the child a feeling of safety and generate a calm, home-like atmosphere. The whole area is constantly monitored. A system of specially installed cameras enables parents to watch their children. Interiors and backyards were designed so as to comply with European Union rules and regulations.

THE AGE OF PRESCHOOLERS

The Private European Bilingual Primary School accepts children who are already 3 years old however, with the headmaster's consent we can accept children who are 2,5 years old. Diapers are not a problem. Our staff takes good and constant care of children's comfort and help them use a toilet regularly.

AIMS

The major aim of the European Bilingual Primary School is teaching tolerance, respect for a language, culture and religious difference, but also tradition. The Private European Bilingual Primary School raises children's consciousness of being citizens of Europe and the world, bearing in mind Polish customs and tradition. Passing this knowledge is a natural process, our staff take into careful consideration the age of the child, the origin, the level of integration with the group etc. The main goal of the educational curriculum is the comprehensive development of a child according to inborn potential and abilities and in relation to social, cultural and natural environments.

The European Bilingual Primary School pays particular attention to:

The headmaster's intention is good and direct communication and cooperation with parents, teachers, doctors and all state institutions taking part in the process of education. All children are entitled to medical services in one of Warsaw's private health clinics.

EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM

The European Bilingual Primary School bases its educational work on the program set by the Ministry of Education. Additionally we use modern methods of didactics and new techniques based on authors' programs. These include both Polish and English materials. In this way, children are prepared to for both English and Polish schools.

MEALS

The European Bilingual Primary School serves children nutritious and tasty meals, taking into consideration preschoolers' eating preferences. Moreover, the European Bilingual Primary School kitchen is able to serve specially prepared dishes according to children's health condition, special diets or parents' beliefs and opinions. Meals are prepared in accordance with children dietician's rules

THE REST

After dinner children have an opportunity to rest. For younger children it means a traditional nap. Children at this age need sleep and most of them are eager to go to bed after dinner. That is why all of them receive their sleeping couches and sets of bedding and bedclothes, which are changed once a week. Calm, relaxing music is played when they are put to bed Older children can rest in the same way if they wish to. Those who are not tired have time to listen to stories read by the teacher or take part in calming activities.

ADAPTATION ACTIVITIES

The European Bilingual Primary School organizes adaptation activities for future preschoolers. Each session lasts two hours. It has an intention to help children separate with parents in the first days in the European Bilingual Primary School. Children who do not understand Polish, and their parents do not wish to take part in activities mentioned above along with them, can visit the European Bilingual Primary School in the afternoon and have a good time in the playgrounds.
